Automated Recovery Time Estimator
Predatar Virtual Recovery Tracker is an automated recovery time estimator software tool for TSM environments. Most organisations know they can recover their data in the event of a disaster, but generally have no idea how long it will take. Predatar ensures you can recover your data, and Virtual Recovery Tracker lets you predict restore times.
Based on calculations from Predatar’s experience of over 40,000 restores and by measuring 6 variables taken from the TSM server, Virtual Recovery Tracker is able to estimate the average restore times for an organisations data. The customer specifies which clients and servers they wish to see an estimated restore time for and then the Virtual Recovery Tracker client gathers the required information to send back to the Predatar centre. The information is subsequently processed and presented in tabular form within the Predatar online portal for viewing. The top level table details nodes and their predicted restore times, with further drill down providing predicted restore times by individual filespaces.
